Whether its wrapping up warm, or heading to the work Christmas Do, we all need things to wear. I've rounded up my favourite eco friendly brands to inspire you to treat your loved ones, or yourself, no judgement here!
Seeing as its getting colder, lets start with my favourite finds for wrapping up warm...
These cowl scarves made by Miss Knit Nat, are perfect to stay both cosy and stylish made in the UK using 100% lambs wool, they are a great sustainable gift. Oh, and did I mention they come in sets too?
The first time I've included something from overseas, but these mittens are too good not to. Made using old sweaters, this is a brilliant way to upcycle a product at the end of its life, and they'll keep your hands super toasty.
We can't discuss things to wear without including some garments. I'm starting with By Lou Moffatt, the retro inspired patterns she creates are magical, and the fabrics she uses consist of recycled polyester and bamboo, what's not to love!
If you haven't heard of Lucy & Yak, where have you been hiding? The brand has a strong ethical stance, knowing exactly who makes their clothes, and looking after their employees. Not only that, their dungas are the most comfy things ever, it's easy to see why they're so popular.
Not forgetting the small people, these leggings by Baere, handmade in Leeds are absolutely adorable, featuring little ears to tug, perhaps the little ones wont be so fast to pull their socks off! Made using GOTS certified Organic cotton, these are also eco responsible.
Maybe you have the outfit sorted, or want to inject some life into something you already own, after all, it is absolutely the most sustainable option. These pussy bows created by The Fruit Moth are absolutely perfect, it was love at first sight for me, as Nicole sources all of her fabrics from old clothing, keeping sustainability at the heart of her brand, she ensures nothing is wasted.
Another maker consciously upcycling clothes, is Bella Bowlicious, who up in Haworth, makes the most gorgeous hair accessories, but be quick, they're all pretty limited! The sparkly numbers would be perfect for a Christmas do, or honestly, every day if you're me!
Whilst we're thinking about sparkles and parties, we all need to have a bit of bling in our lives, last Christmas I invested in a pair of these stunning earrings created by Lorelai LQ, using old straws no less and they are one of my favourite things ever. I urge you all to go and buy a pair whilst she still has them. Lorelai also runs a plastic amnesty, meaning you can dispose of your waste in a responsible way and it's so fun seeing what she comes up with!
If you perhaps wanted something a little more subtle then these creations made from old coffee pods are ace, and the patterns on the pods add a lovely little bit of detail, created in the UK Coffee Pod Creations.
No this is an item that is definitely on my list this year, these gorgeous necklaces by The Pine In The Valley are made from recycled silver and stamped with initials for an extra personal touch.
Lastly, a practical one, but I am obsessed with the simple design of these backpacks by House of Millican, what's even better is that they are made using recycled plastics that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Hope something here takes your fancy, I am obsessed with it all just in case anyone was wondering... You can shop the whole list over on our Pinterest feed.
Next list will is one for those of you that love grooming yourselves.
